Born Nov. 16, 1927, in Scottdale. He was the son of the late John George and Bessie (Peck) Kritschgau. He was a 1945 graduate of Somerset Area High School. He served in the U.S. army in the Pacific Theatre in WWII. He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation with 37 years of service. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Pauline Leonberger; three sons and spouses: David R., of Perryopolis; Charles V. and Pam, of Carlisle; Paul J. and Anne of Morgantown, WV.; two daughters and spouses: Barbara and John, Little, of Palm Bay, Fl.; Cathy and Mark Snyder of Middleton; a brother and spouse, Clayton and Betty of Champion; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Arthur, in 1982. Friends may call at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, 555 Tayman, Ave., Somerset, from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Viewing at Faith Lutheran Church, Somerset from 3-4 p.m., followed by a service at 4 p.m. Friday, June 4, with Pastor Kenneth M. Diable officiating, interment at church cemetery.
