Krouse, 38, Rockwood, formerly of Boswell RD, promoted to glory June 19, 2007. Born Aug. 13, 1968, in Torrance, Calif., the son of David M. Krouse, Windber, and Connie L. (Ohler) Fleegle, Boswell. Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Paul Krouse; maternal grandparents, Harry and Emma Ohler; uncle, Richard Krouse; stepfather, Ronald Fleegle; and cousin, Shawn Deeds. Survived by parents; stepmother, Vida (Geisel) Krouse, Windber; paternal grandmother, Ruth Krouse, Boswell; Missy Niemec, his companion in life and mother of his daughters, Megan and Nadia, Boswell; brother, Dave, married to Sherrie (Lecci), Elgin, S.C.; stepsisters, Jennifer (Geisel), married to Brad Berkey, Boswell; and Joanna Geisel, Windber; nieces and nephews, Davey and Madison Krouse and Ashley and Derrick Layton. Also survived by great-aunt, Alice Folton, Johnstown; uncles and wives, the Rev. John and Mary Poling, Saginaw, Mich.; and Scott and Kim Trout, Greensburg; aunt, Beverly Deeds, Greensburg; uncles and wives, Andrew and Laura Krouse, Hooversville; Phillip and Marlene Krouse, Kantner; and Timothy and Karen Krouse, Jenners; and aunt, Bonnie Krouse, Jennerstown; also survived by numerous cousins. Daniel graduated from North Star High School in 1986. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy aboard USS Independence from 1987 to 1991. He worked at RTR Business Products as service manager from 1992 until taken to heaven. Attended New Life Church of the Nazarene, Boswell, where he supported various church needs. Loved spending count-less times with his daughters and spent many hours enjoying his dirt bike and dog, Cleo. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Church of the Nazarene, Boswell. Dan's uncle, the Rev. John Poling officiating, assisted by the Rev. Edward DeVore. Interment Jennerstown Lutheran Cemetery, with graveside military rites by Somerset County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations to the New Life Church of the Nazarene, 503 Main St., Boswell, PA 15531 or Flight 93 Memorial Chapel would be appreciated.
