Krouse, 55, Lincoln Highway, Boswell RD, died Nov. 19, 2003, at his home following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Born June 23, 1948, in Fairfield, Calif., son of Paul and Ruth (Spangler) Krouse. Preceded in death by dad in 1973, and an infant sister, Diane. Survived by mother, Boswell, special aunt Alice Fulton, Johnstown; wife of 30 years, the former Bonnie Shawley; mother-in-law Peggy Shawley-Griffth; son Rick married to Beverly Marker, Boswell RD; daughter Ellen Krouse and Lee Stockwell, Shanksville; four grandchildren, Rikki Sue and Ronin Richard Krouse, and Alex and Ean Richard Flick; former son-in-law Steven Flick, Stoystown; brothers David, married to Vida Geisel, Windber; Andrew married to Laura Durand, Hooversville; Phil married to Marlene Rininger, Stoystown; and Tim, married to Karen Pugh, Jenners; and longtime friend Bob Davis, Boswell. He is a 1966 graduate of the former Jenner Boswell Joint High School and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Friends received from 4 p.m. until the time of memorial service 5 p.m. Monday at the Beka House, 5977 Somerset Pike (Route 985), with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Somerset County, Box 182, or the Salvation Army, 140 East Fairview St., both in Somerset, Pa. 15501.
