Kroushour died early Tuesday morning at the Hazel McGilvery Hospital, where she had been a patient for fifteen days, suffering from diabetes. For more than eight years Mrs. Kroushour had been ailing, but was unable to get any relief. Gangrene finally developed in her left foot and on Saturday last she submitted to the amputation of her left foot and leg above the knee. It was hoped that this operation would save her life, but her physical condition was too weakened to recover from the ordeal. Mrs. Kroushour was before her marriage, Minnie Deist, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Deist. She was born and reared in Meyersdale and later married Henry E. Kroushour, prominent farmer of Northampton Township, where they resided during the last sixteen years, having moved from Meyersdale to the farm. Besides her husband she is survived by six daughters, Mrs. John Uhlich of Steubenville, O., Mrs. Charles A. Crowe, of Johnstown, Mrs. James Saylor, of Berlin, Mrs. Harry Christner, of Aliquippa, Mrs. Harry Weimer of Berlin and Miss Thelma at home. She is also survived by three brothers, Charles Deist of Salisbury and George and Albert Deist of Steubenville, O., and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Brant, of Aliquippa, Mrs. Anna Hady of Meyersdale, Mrs. E. R. Beegle of Indiana, Pa., and Mrs. James McDowell of Huntington, W.Va. Her body was removed to the home of her sister, Mrs. Hady, at which place the funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. Her former pastor, Rev. Howard Gress and her present pastor, Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger, pastor of the Mt. Lebanon Church of which Mrs. Kroushour is a member, will conduct the services. Undertaker W. C. Price has charge of the funeral arrangements. Mrs. Kroushour will be buried in the Union Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, February 20, 1930
