Krupnik, 86, Quemahoning St., Boswell, died Sept. 13, 2001, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born March 8, 1915, in Boswell, son of John and Mary (Gugula) Krupnik. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Adam, John and Stephen; sisters: Agnes, Louise and Rose Krupnik and Mary Phillips. Survived by wife of almost 60 years, the former Mary Tay, children: Joseph S., married to the former Dorothy Vogel, Indiana, Pa.; Lawrence J., married to the former Linda Zeigler, Corali Gables, Fla.; Mary V., Jefferson, Md.; and Stanley S., married to the former Joyce Beardsley, Wellsville, N.Y; grandchildren: Timothy, Alexandria, Jill and Kathryn, also numerous nieces and nephews. 1932 graduate of the former Boswell High School and the 1937 graduate of West, Chester College. Retired chemistry teacher for the former JBJ and North Star High School, where he was also head basketball coach and assistant football coach. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish and former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church parish council, also member of Boswell Post 461 American Legion, where he was a former commander, also member of Somerset Aerie 1801 F.O.E. and the former Goldenaires Senior Citizens. Past vice president of the Boswell Borough Council. A Navy Veteran of World War II. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Church, Boswell, with the Rev. Father Martin Breski, O.F.M. Conv. celebrant. Interment, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
