  KUBIS
  
  Steve J. Kubis Jr., 70, Confluence RD 3, died May 19, 1985, in Siemon
  Lakeview Manor, Somerset.  Born Dec. 26, 1914, in Kearney (Bedford
  County), a son of the late Steve and Mary (Grech) Kubis.  Survived by
  his wife, Margaret (Cassie) Kubis; a daughter, Rosemary Fike,
  Confluence; two grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Catherine Cybert,
  Pittsburgh; Mrs. Helen Boka, Levittown; and Mrs. Victoria Cuff, North
  Randolph, Mass.; and a brother, Raymond, Aliquippa.  Preceded in death
  by three sisters.  A Somerset County area businessman for 48 years, he
  owned and operated Steve's Restaurant in Confluence for the past 38
  years.  Member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset;
  Fraternal Order of Eagles; and the Turkeyfoot Fish and Game
  Association.  Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from
  10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence.  Mass of Christian Burial from St. Peter's Roman Catholic
  Church, Somerset, at 11 a.m Wednesday, with the Rev. Samuel Tomaselli
  officiating.  Rosary services will be held at the funeral home
  Tuesday at 8 p.m.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
