Born Sept. 27, 1901, in Casselman, daughter of William Tecumseh and Mary Jane (Miller) Wiltrout. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Ernest Calvin Kuhs, who died May 18, 1967; three brothers: Frank, Oscar and William Wiltrout; one sister, Elaine Koontz. Survived by sister, Mrs. Blanche Lohr, Rockwood RD 3 (Casselman); sister-inlaw, Mrs. Myrtle Wiltrout, Somerset RD 2; five nieces: Mrs. Robert H. (Laurene) Weigle, Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Elvin R. (Betty) Keyser, Boswell RD 3; Mrs. Dean (Shirley) Smith, Charlotte, N.C.; Mrs. Bernard (Beverly) Tressler, Houston; Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Evans, Elizabethtown, and three nephews: Robert M. Wiltrout, Somerset RD 5; James R. Wiltrout, Meyersdale RD 3; David Koontz, Somerset, and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. Life member of Casselman United Methodist Church, Pennsylvania and National Retired Teachers Associations, Somerset Grange, Wimodausis Rebekah Lodge 238, Samuel's Homemakers, and Trinity Lutheran Fellowship. Graduate of California State Teachers College. Retired elementary school teacher having taught at Casselman, Hooversville, Shade Township and Turkeyfoot schools. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will he conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. John H. Snyder officiating. Interment.
