   Charles E. Kurtz, 65, Allegheny Street, Boswell, D.O.A. Jan. 7, 2006, at Somerset
  Hospital. Born June 22, 1940, in Brothersvalley Township, son of Charles B. and Blanche
  (Olive) Kurtz. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Ralph Kurtz; sister, Dolores Snyder
  and step-brother, Jesse Vanderbelt. Survived by wife of 42 years, the former Jennie
  Schkora; sons, Charles David at home; Gary, married to Susan Maust, Bando; Larry,
  Somerset; and Rick, at home; six grandchildren and sisters, Laurabelle Fickes,
  Schellsburg, and Pearl Scott, Stonycreek Township. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish.
  Former employee of Solar Fuel, Ralphton Mine. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
  at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell, where service will
  be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Father Justin A. Ratajczak, OFM Conv. officiate.
  Committal, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ralphton.
