Kutz the well-known and popular lumberman-coal operator of Lower Turkeyfoot Township, died May 15 at his home in Ursina, aged about 60 years. He had been sick for only a day or two and at no time was his condition regarded as alarming. Mr. Kutz was a native of Berks County, having been born at Kutztown, the seat of one of the State Norman Schools. He was elected to the Legislature by the Democrats of his native county, serving two or three terms. About 20 years ago he came to this region and ever since was prominently identified with the lumber and coal interests. He has a wide circle of friends throughout the state. His wife and several children survive him. Meyersdale Commercial, May 25, 1916 --- The funeral of C. W.
