She was the widow of Amos Luther, who died in the Alexandria Hospital, during the Civil War. Ne was a member of Company D, Fifth Regiment, Pennsylvania Artillery, and was the only one of six brothers and two cousins who did not return from the war. Mrs. Luther was born near Ligonier, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Thomas L. Beam. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ray L. Baer of Johnstown; and Mrs. Amy Kissel of Waterford; Mrs. H. M. Graham, of Waterford is a step-sister. A brother and a step-brother were drowned in the Johnstown flood.
