  James H. LaBrel, 55, Somerset, died August 15, 1979, in Presbyterian
  Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born October 16, 1923, in Black Township, son
  of James and Nettie (Key) LaBrel.  Survived by widow, the former
  Helen M. (Bowser) (Emerick).  Preceded in death by stepson, Terry
  Lynn and brother, Rodney.  Survived by children, Robert and James,
  Montana; James, Wilbur, Pa.; Patricia, wife Ronald Kimball, Salt Lake
  City, Utah; William, New York City; step children, Bernell J. Emerick,
  Larry A. Emerick, Marvin D. Emerick, all of Stoystown; Bonnie B. Pugh,
  Rockwood; Barbara, wife of Joseph Jennick, Somerset RD 1; Deborah,
  wife of Charles Thompson, Somerset; Douglas W., Somerset; one
  grandson; 16 step-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, John N.,
  Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. J. P. (Gloria) Denner, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs.
  Leland (Renee) Vallette, Salt Lake City; Mrs. William (Anne) Connor,
  Long Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Clyde (Leona) Snyder Pittsburgh.  Member
  American Legion; VFW; World War II veteran; Construction Workers
  Union Local 147, New York City.  Friends will be received after 7
  p.m. Friday at Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be
  conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Paul Weber officiating. 
  Interment, Sanner Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests
  that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
