He was born June 3, 1957, in Dunkirk, N.Y., a son of the late James H. and Helen (Barron) LaBrel. He is survived by a step-mother, the former Helen M. Bowser Emerick LaBrel of Somerset; these brothers and sisters: Dr. Robert J. of Fort Denton, Mont.; James M. of Helena, Mont.; Mrs. Ronald (Patricia) Kimball, Salt Lake City, Utah; a half-brother James of Wilbur; these step-brothers and sisters: Bernell Emerick of Stoystown RD 1; Larry A. Emerick, Stoystown; Marvin Emerick, of Jersey Shore; Mrs. Bonnie Pugh of Rockwood; Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Kennick, Mrs. Charles (Deborah) Thompson, Douglas W. Emerick, all of Somerset. Graveside services were conducted in the Sanner Cemetery with the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli officiating under the direction of Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home.
