  LAFFERTY, Beverly Sue 10/13/07  Daily American
  
    Beverly Sue Lafferty, 57, Frostburg, Md., formerly of Somerset, died Oct. 11, 2007, at
  her residence. Born Aug. 12, 1950, in Youngwood, she is the daughter of the late
 William Larry Hixson and Helen (Harrold) Hixson Biesel. She is also
  preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Fordyce. She is survived by her best friend and
  fiancˇ, Ken Duckworth, Frostburg; a son, Roger Lafferty, Somerset; two stepdaughters,
  Michelle Gilbert, Somerset; Amy Lafferty; a half brother, Dr. Robert Biesel, Warren,
  Ohio; four grandchildren; and a best friend, Mary Alice Bowlby. Ms. Lafferty was an
  administrator professional for Oester Trucking. She was a member of the Red Hats and of
  the Protestant faith. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at
  Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, and one hour prior to
  service at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Bakersville. The Rev. Elisa
  Osman officiating. Interment will be in Bakersville Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to
