Fl. Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla. Born March 2, 1913 in Listie. Son of Charles Albert and Eleanora (Saylor) Lafferty. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Rowena Gilmour who died Sept. 24, 1987; brother Walter Lafferty, and sisters, Emma Sharp, Mary Lafferty and Charlotte Lafferty. Survived by daughter, Debra Lafferty of Gainesville, Fla.; step-children, Mrs. Margaret Springer of Florida, Mrs. Merna Cannon of Florida, Philip H. Schad of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. C. Susan Wright of Arizona. Brother of Mrs. Anne Gordon of Gainesville, Fla.; Mrs. Lillian Becker of Cleveland, Ohio; Robert Lafferty of Normalville, and William E. Lafferty of Bakersville. Attended Somerset Brethren Church. U.S. Marine veteran of World War II. Retired self-employed heavy equipment operator. FOE Aerie 1801, VFW Post 554, Somerset. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.
