"Ken" Lafferty 60, of 601 Swallow St., Berlin, died April, 17, 1985, in Berlin. He was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Altoona, son of Perry B. and Bessie (Leydig) Lafferty of Altoona. He is survived by his parents; his wife, the former Jean Hopper; these children: Mrs. Jackee Wetmiller of Pittsburgh; Alan, Cumberland, Md.; and Mark, married to the former Roxanne Green of Berlin; also, a grandson, Eric Wetmiller. He was a brother of Gerald of Harrisburg; Robert of Altoona; and Mrs. George (Leona) Nicomede of San Demas, Calif. He was the owner of Lafferty Chevrolet of Berlin for the past 30 years. Served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Corps during World War II; member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; member and past-president of Berlin Lions Club; member of Board of Directors of Philson National Bank; Berlin Lodge 461; I.O.O.F.; Berlin Volunteer Fire Department; Berlin Businessmen's Association; Harry Fisher Post 445, American Legion, Berlin; Pennsylvania Automobile Dealers Association; served on Chevrolet Dealers Council; member of Meyersdale Lodge 554, F and AM, Consistory Valley of Altoona; and Jaffa Temple Shrine of Altoona. Friends will be received Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home where services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, or the American Cancer Society, Room 216 Scull Building, Somerset, Pa. 155501, would be appreciated.
