  LAFFERTY
  
    Roger E. Lafferty, 41, Somerset RD 6 (Bakersville), died Sept. 9,
  1995 in his home.  Born Jan. 24, 1954, in Somerset, son of William E.
  and the late Betty (Whipkey) Lafferty.  Survived by wife, Beverly
  Hixon; father, William E., and step-mother, Lois (Duke) Lafferty of
  Somerset RD 6; stepfather-in-law, John Bisel, Somerset RD 6; 2
  daughters: Michelle Gilbert, Connellsville, and Amy L. Lafferty,
  Friedens; son, Roger E. Jr., at home; 2 sisters: Anna Mae Clowser,
  Virginia Beach, Va., and Brenda Lee Lafferty, Orlando, Fla.;
  stepsister, Patricia Stahl, Somerset RD 6; 4 grandchildren: Kayla Sue
  Lafferty, Somerset; Jacob Gilbert, Connellsville; Leigha and Dakota
  Critchfield, Friedens; also 3 nieces and 2 nephews.  Member of First
  United Methodist Church, Somerset.  A former general manager of
  Brandywine Excavating Company.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. today (Monday) in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where
  service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Dr. Arthur J.
  Gotjen officiating.  Interment, Bakersville Cemetery.
