JOHN LAGEER

  Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, in the Lutheran Church at 
Bittinger for John Lageer, 82, who died at his home on Saturday.  Rev. Isaas S. 
Metzler officiated.
  John Lageer was a son of the late Jacob Lageer, a native of Ireland.  The 
family resided at Vale Summit and then moved to Bittinger where they lived for 
50 years.
  He was a member of the Mennonite Church and was a retired miner.  He is 
survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Bowser) Lageer and the following children: Mrs. 
Mary Jones, Hagerstown; Mrs. Bessie Fazenbaker, Grantsville; George Lageer, 
Hyndman, Pa.; and John Lageer, Jr., Bittinger.
