  James Arthur Lake Jr., 23, Hooversville, died July 13, 1985, of injuries
  from auto accident in Shade Township.  Born Feb. 7, 1962, in Somerset
  County, son of Pearl Marie (Swope) Lake, Stoystown RD 1; and James A. Lake
  Sr., married to former Linda Mae Swope, Hooversville.  Survived by widow,
  former Karen Lee Birch, whom he married July 16, 1983; and son, James
  Arthur Lake III, at home.  Brother of Brian Lee, Edward, Arnold, Ronald,
  Linda Mae, Pearl Marie, Dorothy Jane and Starla Joy, at home.  Also
  survived by maternal grandmother, Mrs. Stella Swope, Hooversville; and
  paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Lake, Weirton, W.Va.  Was employed by LTM
  Paving Co., Davidsville.  Family received friends Sunday evening and will
  receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown.  Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Church of God, Boswell, the Rev.
  Samuel E. Charlton.  Interment, P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
