Lamberson, 70, Brush Run Apartments, Hollidaysburg, died Aug. 26, 1980, at Altoona Hospital after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 19, 1909, in Berlin, daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Landis) Tipton. She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond E. Lamberson, who died March 27, 1973. She is survived by daughter, Mrs. Beverly L. Jervis, Devon; son, Sterling E., Altoona RD 2; five grandchildren; brother, Leland E. Tipton, Berlin. She retired in 1960 as a Latin teacher from Bedford High School, where she had taught since 1947. Prior to that she taught Latin in Hustontown High School and Shade Township High School, and was a substitute teacher at Hollidaysburg; Faithful Workers Sunday School Class; WSCS; and Welcome Circle, all of the church; Hollidaysburg chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Jobel Court, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America and White Shrine. She was a member of the auxiliary of Hollidaysburg YMCA and women's Wednesday afternoon bowling league. Friends were received at Plank and Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg where services were conducted with the Rev. Gay W. Camp III, officiating. Interment, Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
