Born Sept. 15, 1896, in Stonycreek Township, son of late Philip P. and Lottie A. (Wagner) Lambert. Survived by wife of 69 years, the former Gladys Lohr, and these children: Philip, married to the former Flora Mae McQuade, Stoystown RD 3; Neal, married to the former Janetta Catherine Nicodemus, Johnstown, and Mary Louise, married to William Meekins, Stoystown RD 2; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Retired heavy equipment operator. World War I Army veteran, having served with Company C. Member of Central City Christian Church and Somerset County Barracks, World War I Veterans. Last charter member of Robert P. Hite Post 257, American Legion, Stoystown. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Evangelist Eric Smith. Interment, Lambertsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Central City Christian Church. American Legion service at 8 p.m. Monday at funeral home.
