Lambert, 88 of Siemon Lakeview Manor, formerly of Central City and Somerset, died Feb. 4, 1984, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Aug. 24, 1895, in Stonycreek Township, son of Joseph A. and Elizabeth (Gohn) Lambert. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Ida Rankin; and second wife, Edna Christner; one sister and 10 brothers. He was the last member of his immediate family. He is survived by these daughters: Mrs. Robert (Josephine) Rodgers, Richland Township; Mrs. John (Marjorie) Kushner of Central City; three grandsons; seven great-grandchildren. He was a former Somerset County Clerk of Courts for 16 years and former Somerset County Commissioner. He was a licensed real estate salesman; a veteran of WWI, served in Co. C, 110th Infantry, 28th Division, from 1917-19. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown; Somerset Lodge 358, F&AM; Somerset County Shrine Club; Valley of Altoona Consistory; Jaffa Temple Shrine; American Legion Post 449, Central City; Somerset VFW; Veterans of WWI; Somerset Sportsmen's and Rifle Association; Sons of the American Revolution; F.O.E. 1801. Life member of Soldats De La Marne. Family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Woodrow J. Klinger officiating. Interment, Lambertsville Cemetery. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Legion services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday.
