  LAMBERT
  
  J. Fred Lambert, a 25-year resident of Georgetown, Calif., passed away on
  June 11, 2002, after a long illness.  Fred was born on Dec. 10, 1934 in
  Friedens.  He was the son of J. Fred Lambert and Mary (Barron)
  Lambert-Walker.  Preceded in death by parents and step-father Phillip H.
  Walker.  Survived by wife Beverly (Van Demon) Lambert of 41 years; daughter
  Laura Harper and son-in-law Stephen, son Heath Lambert, grandchildren Devon
  and Courtney Harper, his sisters Jacqueline Kimmel, of Friedens, Edwinna
  Urban and Joanna Menser, of Santa Ana, Calif.  He was a 1952 graduate of
  Somerset High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean conflict. 
  Later he moved to Georgetown where he worked as a Land Surveyor and for the
  Department of Forestry as a real property manager until he retired in June
  2000.  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. June 24 at the Georgetown
  Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen Darling officiating. 
  Private interment will be at the Georgia Slide Cemetery.  Arrangements were
  made by Chapel of the Pines, Placerville, Calif.
