"Bep" Lambert, Sr., 68, of Stoystown RD 3, Lambertsville, died Aug. 20, 1985, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born April 10, 1917, in Lambertsville, son of Chalmer E. and Susan (Zimmerman) Lambert. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Kenneth and Lloyd. Survived by his wife, the former Betty Menear, whom he married Feb. 2, 1948; these children: Ray E. "Butch," Jr., married to the former Dolores Kaminsky of Stoystown RD 2; and Mrs. David J. (Diann) Long of Meyersdale RD 4; also, four grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Marlin (Alice) Shipe of Jacksonville, Fla. He was a retired coal miner and he was a medic in World War II where he spent time in England. Member of Grace Brethren Church in Reading Mines. Member of UMWA, Local 6310, and the Shanksville Fire Company. Family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev.
