(Fronk) 10/16/08 Daily American Ruth E. (Fronk) Lamkie, 74, Glen Campbell, died Oct. 14, 2008, at the Glenwood Convalescent Home in Glen Campbell. Born Sept. 21, 1934, in Barnesboro, daughter of Victor L. and Twila B. (McCall) Fronk. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Fronk; sister, Lois Gonzales; sister, Dorothy Fetterman; and brother, Victor Fronk Jr. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William J. Lamkie, Glen Campbell; son, Richard J. Lamkie and wife, Karen (Sarver), Indian Lake; granddaughter, Kelly Custer, Indian Lake; and her siblings, E. Glade Taylor, York; John Fronk and wife, Peg, Stowe, Ohio; and Robert L. Fronk and wife, Gail, Barberton, Ohio; and her many, many loving nieces and nephews. She attended the Jehovah's Witnesses in Punxsutawney. Mrs. Lamkie formerly attended the Burnside United Methodist Church, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher. She had also attended the First Baptist Church in Glen Campbell. Mrs. Lamkie was a dedicated volunteer, who for many years faithfully collected donations for Citizens Ambulance, the Heart Fund, the Red Cross, and the American Cancer Society. She greatly enjoyed spending time through the years with her dogs. She also enjoyed flowers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd., Hillsdale, where a 10:30 a.m. funeral service will be held Friday with Mr. Don Baker. Interment will follow at the Burnside Cemetery in Burnside.
