  LAMP
  
    William R. Lamp, 58, of Grandview Ave., Rockwood died Dec. 17, 1998 at
  home.  Born Dec. 7, 1940 in Rockwood.  Son of Russell and Mary (Johnson)
  Lamp.  Preceded in death by parents, brother Donny and niece Susan. 
  Beloved brother of Mrs. Bill (Jean) Schmucker of Cortland, Ohio, Shirley
  Criss of Warren, Ohio, and Mrs. Don (Joyce) King of Rockwood.  Also nieces
  Ginger, Regina, Lori, Melanie and Gina and nephews Shane and Kevin.  School
  teacher for 35 years and athletic director for one year at the Rockwood Area
  School District where he coached varsity boys basketball for 19 years,
  including 1975 when he took his team to the PIAA Class A State Final in
  Hershey.  He retired from the school district in 1997.  He was inducted
  into the Somerset County Basketball Hall of Fame.  Member of the Rockwood
  Historical Society and Rockwood Fire Department.  He was an avid golfer. 
  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral
  Home, Rockwood, where funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday,
  Rev. Randy Bain and Rev. Patrick Walsh officiating.  Interment, Rockwood
  IOOF Cemetery.
