Savage RD 1, died January 7 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. A native of Somerset County, he was a son of the late George W. and Susan (McKenzie) Lancaster. His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth L. (Stakem) Lancaster, preceded him in death. Mr. Lancaster was a retired employee of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Mt. Savage. Surviving are two sons, Gilbert Bernard Lancaster Jr., Rawlings, Md.; and Daniel M. Lancaster, at home; three brothers, James Lancaster and Raymond Lancaster, both of Mt. Savage, and Gerald Lancaster, LaVale; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Wagner, Fairgo, Md.; Mrs. Mary Crites, LaVale, and Miss Hilda Lancaster, Mt. Savage, and two grandchildren. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Savage. The rosary was recited in Scarpelli Funeral Home Monday.
