Lancaster, 90, of Mount Savage, Maryland, died March 31, 1984 at the Cumberland Nursing Home, Maryland. He was a model train enthusiast for over 36 years and displayed his handmade model trains in this area. In 1972 he sold his collection of over 40 trains to a group of other enthusiasts, and the collection is now on display in Springs. Born in Mount Savage, he was the son the late George W. Lancaster and Susan D. (McKenzie) Lancaster. His wife was the late Hazel (Riley) Lancaster. A retired machinist for the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage; the Third Order of St. Francis; Knights of Columbus 1058, Mount Savage; the Middle Easter Region of the National Model Railroad Association, and the Middle Easter Region NMRA, Inc. He is survived by two brothers, Raymond T. Lancaster, Mount Savage; Gerald H. Lancaster, LaVale, Maryland; three sisters, Miss Hilda F. Lancaster, with whom he resided; Mrs. Mary E. Crites, LaVale; Mrs. Margaret A. Wagner, Potomac Park, Maryland; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the Knight Funeral Home. The Republic, April 5, 1984 [L0107]
