  LANCIA
  
    Humbert C. Lancia, 89, of Cary, N.C., died June 14, 1998, at Cary Health
  and Rehabilitation Center.  Mr. Lancia was born in Italy and retired to the
  Raleigh area from Chicago in 1986.  He worked in the Treasury Dept. for the
  federal government.  Lancia was a graduate of Ohio State University with a
  degree in chemical engineering, was a volunteer at Rex Hospital and loved
  to play golf.  Survivors include two sons, Richard Lancia and his wife
  Dorien of Cary and Robert Lancia of Lyons, Ill.; one sister, Theresa I.
  Lancia of Raleigh, and two grandchildren, Neil and Alexander Lancia of
  Cary.  Mr. Lancia was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ruth, who
  passed away on April 7, 1998.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday,
  June 30, in Berlin.  Arrangements by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home of Cary.
