    Alice Mae Landis, 93, of Somerset died April 22, 1999 at Patriot Manor,
  Somerset.  Born Feb. 14, 1906 in Quemahoning Township, a daughter of John
  B. and Lyndia Elizabeth (Tressler) Umberger.  Preceded in death by parents,
  husband, Harry Clyde Landis who died Nov. 25, 1985; two brothers, Bert
  Umberger and John C. Umberger, and five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Barnhart, Mary
  Irvine, Bertha Williams, Pearl Berkebile, and Margaret Fritz.  Survived by
  two daughters, Mrs. Pauline E. Davis of Somerset and Mrs. Thomas C. (Betty
  Jane) Adams of Somerset; four grandchildren and eight
  great-grandchildren.  Member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity
  Chapter #358 OES, Fourth Society of Farm Women, and American Legion Post
  181 Auxiliary, Somerset.  Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday
  and 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, with the Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr.
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
