    Beatrice M. Landis, 61, of Hollsopple RD 2, was DOA Oct. 26, 1978,
  at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Sept. 23, 1917, in Mt. Carmel,
  Pa., daughter of Joseph and Mary Vergobey.  Preceded in death by
  father and sister, Mrs. Ann Smith.  Survived by mother, Hollsopple RD
  2; husband, William H. Landis; sons: William J., married to the former
  Christine Elaine Bordas, Ebensburg RD 3; Eugene, married to former
  Carol Keim; and Barry, married to the former Yvonne Lohr, both of
  Boswell RD 1; five grandchildren.  Sister of Charles R. Harmon,
  Friedens.  Members of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell, Garment
  Workers Union, and auxiliary to Central Pennsylvania Police
  Association, employee of M&M Valley Sportswear Factory, Hollsopple. 
  Friends were received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and will be received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home,
  227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m.
  Sunday with the Rev. George A. Clark officiating.  Interment, Jenner
  Crossroads Cemetery.
