    BERTHA F. LANDIS
    
      Mrs. Bertha F. Landis, 85, of Berlin RD 1, died Oct. 13, 1977. 
  Born in Berlin, Feb. 15, 1892, she was a daughter of the late William
  F. and Minnie (Brubaker) Philson.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood S. in January
  1977, three brothers and three sisters.
      She is survived by these children: Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth)
  Merrill, Berlin; Mrs. Ben F. (Marylou) Walker, Pittsburgh; Edwin P.,
  Berlin RD 1; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
      She was a sister of Albert Philson, Berlin; Mrs. Chester (Betty)
  Musser, Berlin; and Elizabeth Philson of Oakland, Md.
      She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Berlin.
      Funeral services were held Saturday at the Johnson-Kuhlman
  Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Swanson officiating.  Interment,
  I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
