      Blanche Marie Landis, 88, Friedens RD 2, died May 21, 1997, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born March 29, 1909, in Stonycreek Township,
  daughter of Jacob and Etta (Miller) Hillegass.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, Leroy P.; brothers: Ernest, Paul and William, and
  sister Luella.  Survived by these children: Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley)
  Harness, Quincy, Ill.; Mrs. Louis (Nancy) Urbina, Camoapa, Nicaragua;
  Richard, Friedens RD 2, and Mrs. Dwight (Sue Ellen) Wagner, Berlin RD
  1; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs.
  Gerald (Ethel) Walker, Berlin RD 4; Mrs. Edwin (Mary) Baker, Friedens
  RD 2, and Donald James Hillegass, married to the former Hazel Brick,
  Friedens RD 1.  Retired cook.  Member of Unity United Church of
  Christ, having taught Sunday school many years.  Family will receive
  friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev.
  Jay E. Shaffer officiating.  Interment, Walker Cemetery,
  Shanksville.  Memorial contributions may be given to Unity UCC,
  Shanksville, Pa. 15560.
