Walpusk-Landis, 93, 62 Water St., Jenners, died Dec. 28, 1989, in Somerset Hospital. Born March 24, 1896, in Brothersvalley Township, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Miller) Maust. Preceded in death by parents. First husband, Otto G. Walpusk, died in 1943; second husband, Charles E. Landis, died in 1975; daughter, Vera L. Martin, died in 1986. Also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers. Survived by these children: Winifred, wife of Eugene L. Kidd, Edgewater, Md.; retired Col. Carl J. Walpusk, married to former Virginia Hause, Coraopolis; Janet "Chip," wife of Warren L. Kister, Somerset RD 7; also 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Charter member of Jenner Grace Brethren Church. Former schoolteacher. Retired Jenner postmistress with 31 years of service. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny St., Boswell. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jenner Grace Brethren Church, where viewing also will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service, with the Rev. Max DeArmey officiating.
