  EDNA LANDIS
  
    Edna (Betty) Landis, 82, formerly of Grantsville, Maryland, died
  February 24, 1983, at the Fazio Nursing Center in Markleysburg.
    She was born in Grantsville and was a daughter of the late Jacob J.
  Bender and Carrie (Fogle) Bender.
    She was retired as the secretary for the Grantsville Creamery,
  which later became Hagan's Creamery and now is known as Country
  Belle, Inc.  She worked for each of the businesses in succession for
  many years.
    She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where she
  had previously served as church organist for about 30 years, and also
  was a member of the United Methodist Women.
    She is survived by two brothers, Allen Bender and Clyde Bender,
  both of Grantsville, one niece, Mrs. Jane Garletts, Friendsville; and
  a nephew, Edgar Bender, of Grantsville.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services
  were conducted by Pastor K. Almond.  Interment will be in Grantsville
  Cemetery.
