    ELIZABETH B. LANDIS
    
      Mrs. Elizabeth B. Landis, 91, Berlin RD 1, died Dec. 20, 1978, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  She was born Feb. 3, 1887, in
  Brothersvalley Township, daughter of Lewis and Sara (Hay) Berkley.
      She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers and one sister.
      She is survived by husband, Horace M.; two daughters: Mrs.
  Richard (Helen) Wilkow, Berlin RD 1, and Mrs. William (Ruth) Arch,
  North Hills, Pittsburgh; one foster daughter, Mrs. Mary Flamm,
  Berlin; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  Her death
  terminated a marriage union of 70 years.
      She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin,
  where she formerly taught Sunday school for many years and was first
  president of Women's Guild of the church.  She attended California
  Normal School and taught school in Brothersvalley Township and Berlin.
      Friends were received at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where service was conducted with the Rev. Charles W. Sigler,
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
      In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United
  Church of Christ or to the charity of your choice.
