Landis, 83, of Hazen Road, Cumberland, Md. died in Sacred Heart Hospital November 11, 1982. He had been in ill health the past year. Born in Berlin, he was a son of the late David C. and Ida I. (Foust) Landis. He was a retired employee of Happy Hills Farm. He is survived by his widow, Zella A. (Patterson) Landis; two sons, Dale Eugene Landis and Glenn Emmons Landis, both of Cumberland; one brother, Daniel C. Landis of Somerset; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary. Services were conducted at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee A. McDaniel officiating, assisted by the Rev. Edwin Hinkle. Interment was in Zion Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Bruce Ryan, Larry Maiers, Richard Wilson, Jack Lowery, Paul Lowery and Bobby Lowery. The Republic, November 18, 1982 [L0142]
