    George D. "Toad" Landis, 75, of Stoystown, RD 3.  Died Nov. 24,
  1973 at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born March 27, 1898 in
  Stonycreek Township.  Son of James and Minerva Baldwin Landis.
    Preceded in death by parents and two brothers.  Survived by widow
  Edith Rayman and two daughters, Mrs. (Charles) Helen Johanson,
  Albuquerque, N.M. and Mrs. (Charles) Betty Rhoades of Stoystown RD 3
  and five grandchildren.
    Retired machinist from U.S. Steel and Penn Machine Co.,
  Johnstown.  Member of Faith Lutheran Church.  Family received friends
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday (today) in Charles R. Deaner
  Funeral Home in Stoystown where services will be conducted at 10:30
  a.m. Tuesday.
