  HORACE M. LANDIS
  
    Horace M. Landis, 96, of Berlin RD 1, died March 19, 1980, at his
  residence.
    He was born Dec. 1, 1883, in Stonycreek Township, a son of Samuel
  and Mary (Koontz) Landis.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former
  Elizabeth Berkley, who died in 1978; six brothers and one sister.  He
  is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Richard (Helen) Willkow, Berlin RD
  1; and Mrs. William (Ruth) Arch of North Hills, Pittsburgh; and one
  foster daughter: Mrs. Mary Flamm, Berlin; seven grandchildren and
  four great-grandchildren.
    He had been director emeritus of the National Bank of Western
  Pennsylvania, having been elected in 1929.  He was a life-long member
  of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, where he served as elder
  and deacon.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services were conducted with the Rev. Charles Sigler
  officiating.  Interment Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  In lieu of
  flowers, contributions in his memory to Trinity United Church of
  Christ, Berlin, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
