  JOEL E. LANDIS
  
    Joel E. Landis, 88, of Berlin, died Feb. 21, 1975.  Born July 24,
  1886, in Somerset County, he was a son of the late Joel and Lydia
  (Hartman) Landis.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former
  Mary Faidley, in 1971; a daughter, Viola; and a grandson, Sheldon, in
  1970.
    Surviving are a daughter, Lydia Caton, Berlin RD 3; three
  grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in Johnson and Son
  Funeral Home, Berlin, with Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. 
  Interment in Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
