Landis, 82, of Shanksville, died May 9, 1974 in Berlin. Born Mar. 21, 1892 in Stonycreek Township. Son of Charles and Isadora Weigle Landis. Preceded in death by parents, his wife the former Nellie Hillegas, infant son and brother Merle. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Paul C. (Mary) Thomas of Camp Hill, Mrs. Marshall (Anna) McKalips of Burnham, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer and farm implement dealer. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville and the Somerset Lodger I.O.O.F. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Charles E. Staub officiating. Interment Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.
