   Minnie "Babe" Landis, 84, Berlin, died Aug. 19, 2006, at Meadowview Nursing Center.
  Born Jan. 23, 1922, in Paint Township, daughter of George and Minnie (Fout) Lantz.
  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Dennis G. Landis; brothers, Elmer "Ike," George
  "Squirrel," Elizah "Eli" and John Lantz; and sisters, Viola Sturtz, Myrtle "Mert" Halle
  and Dorothy "Boots" Slope. Survived by children, Deloris, married to Bill Gordon and
  Harold, married to the former Elaine Fochtman, all of Berlin; grandchildren, Scott
  Gordon, Sherri, married to Bernard Fochtman, Kim, married to Brad Hoffman and Corey
  Landis; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles "Jay" Lantz. Also survived by a
  family friend, Patty Fochtman and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Roxbury United
  Church of Christ and Berlin Legion Auxiliary. No viewing or visitation. A graveside
  service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe. The Rev.
  Ralph G. Landis officiating. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. In lieu of
  flowers, contributions may be given to Somerset Hospital Cooperated Communications Dept.
