  ROBERT E. LANDIS
  
    Robert E. Landis, 79, of Meyersdale, died April 8 in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.
    He was born Feb. 18, 1897, in Meyersdale, a son of the late William
  and Lucinda Baer Landis.
    He is survived by his widow, Eba Meese and these children: Mrs.
  Roberta Miller and Miss Ann, both of Meyersdale; step-mother, Mary
  Fisher Landis of Meyersdale; three grandchildren and two
  great-grandchildren.  A brother, Roy, of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Clarence
  Schrock and Mrs. Cathrine Harris, both of Meyersdale; and Mrs.
  Dorothy Castnor of Marlton, N.J.
    He was a veteran of World War I.
    Funeral services were held April 10 with the Rev. Louis Whitford
  and the Rev. Walter Fike officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
