  LANDIS
  
    Verda R. (Pugh) Landis, 85, East Main Street, Somerset, died March
  26, 1994, in Patriot Manor, Somerset.  Born Feb. 3, 1909, in
  Stonycreek Township, daughter of the late Edison and Mary (Zerfoss)
  Pugh.  She was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Lehman.  Also
  preceded in death by husband, Daniel C. Landis, Nov. 8, 1993, and son,
  Leroy C.  Survived by two daughters: Phyllis, wife of Harry Klein, and
  Ruby, wife of Richard Leer, both of Somerset; 10 grandchildren: Sherry
  Nancarvis, Lou Ann Bowersox, Tammy Fencil, Susan Thompson, Roger Leer,
  Randy Leer, Rick Leer, Ronald Leer, Carol Rhodes, and Robert Leer;
  also 9 great-grandchildren and a half-sister, Cora Knupp, Somerset. 
  Member of Brotherton Church of the Brethren.  Friends will be
  received from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rev.
  John Buchko officiating.  Interment, Pike Cemetery, Brotherton.
