She was born Sept. 9, 1911, in Springfield Township, a daughter of the late George W. and Charles Ritenour Hull. Formerly employed by the Pike Run Country Club at Jones Mills, but retired from the Oglevee Floral Company in Connellsville. Member of the former Mount Zion United Methodist Church, where she was church pianist. Attended the Millertown Community Church. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer P. Lanning (Jan. 20, 1967); four brothers, George W., Wilbert G., the Rev. Joseph I. and Woodrow Hull; five sisters, Iva Pletcher, Dais B. Patton, Olive M. Henry, Ruth Lanning and Olga M. Hull and a nephew, Dale Lanning, whom she raised. Friends will be received from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711 at Melcroft, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Sue Winger and the Rev. David Huey officiating. Interment in Normalville Cemetery.
