Lansberry, 65, of East Union St., Somerset, died March 22, 1973, in Meyersdale. He was born July 23, 1907, in Rockwood, the son of the late Orrie R. and Clara Elizabeth Tayman Lansberry. He is survived by his widow, the former Ruth Morgan; a daughter, Mrs. Charles B. (Elizabeth) Hargett of Basking Ridge, N.J.; and two grandsons, Charles Thomas and Andrew Bruce. He was a brother of George Lansberry of Boston, Mass. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a past president of Somerset Rotary Club, and president of the Somerset County Historical Society. He had served as president of the Sesquicentennial Celebration. He was also a member of Somerset Lodge No. 358 F&AM, Pittsburgh Consistory and Johnstown Knights Templar and was an honorary member of the Red Cross of Constantine. He served as presiding judge in Somerset County from 1950 until his retirement in 1969 and was presently acting as senior judge. He served as Somerset County district attorney from January, 1944, until he was called to serve in the United States Navy. He was a veteran of World War II. Hauger Funeral Home with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating. Interment, Monday morning, Uniondale Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Family will receive friends today, Saturday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Penn Woods Council, Boy Scouts of America, or the Somerset County Historical and Genealogical Society. Masonic service, 8 p.m., Saturday.
