    LANTZ
    
      Virginia Rae Lantz, 39, of Landover, Md., formerly of Confluence,
  died June 20, 1999, at her residence.  Born March 7, 1960, in
  Somerset, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Mary (Whitaker)
  Mitchell.  Also preceded in death by a brother, Marshall Rugg. 
  Survived by husband, Carl Lantz; daughters: Mrs. Eric (Dody Lynn)
  Retherford of Quakerhill, Conn., and Wendy Kai Lantz of Landover. 
  Granddaughter, Precious Rayette Retherford.  Also mother-in-law and
  father-in-law, Carl and Florence Lantz of Somerset.  Also survived by
  several stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces and good friend, Carol
  Stevanus.  1978 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley High School.  Friends
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev.
  Walter Frankenberry officiating.  Interment, Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
