    LAPE
    
    Betty Goss Lape, 77, died Jan. 27, 2003 at her home in Cape Coral,
  Fla.  She was preceded in death by her parents William Claire and
  Stella Odessa Goss of Boswell.  She is survived by her husband Ralph
  E. Lape who was employed by S & A Chevrolet for many years.  Her
  daughter Karen Lape White, who was a 1965 graduate of Somerset Area
  High School; two grandchildren, Tara and Brad White; three brothers
  who reside in Detroit, Mich. area.  She was a registered nurse at
  Somerset Community Hospital for 30 years and was the head nurse in
  the recovery room before moving to Florida in 1979.  She was a member
  of the American Nurses Association and 1945 graduate of Mercy
  Hospital's School of Nursing in Johnstown.  Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lape
  were graduates of Boswell High School, class of 1942.  They were
  happily married for 56 years.  The Lape family were members of St.
  Peter's Roman Catholic Church for 30 years.  Service will be held 1
  to 4 p.m. Friday at Coral Ridge Cemetery in a chapel with the
  services conducted by a priest from St. Andrew's Catholic Church of
  Cape Coral, Fla.  Condolences can be made to Ralph Lape and family at
