  Earl A. Lape, 72, of Friedens RD 1, died July 27, 1988 at Altoona
  Veterans' Hospital.  Born March 27, 1916 in Somerset Township, son of
  the late Arthur Henry and Ada Belle (Harding) Lape.  Preceded in death
  by children Diana and John, also a brother Roy.  Survived by his wife
  the former Beulah M. Swindell and these children: Gerald Ellis,
  Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. David (Teresa) Contrillo, Central City, Ms.
  Barbara A. Lape, Stoystown RD 2, Charles E. married to Heather
  English, Woodford, Va., Ms. Eileen K. Lape, Ms. Linda F. Lape, and
  Kevin E. Lape, all of Friedens RD 1, also two grandchildren.  Brother
  of Mrs. Blanche Burkett, Somerset RD 6, and Mrs. John (Evelyn) Grenke,
  Stephens City, Va.  Retired from Summers Fertilizer Co.  Friends
  received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday (today) at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday.  Rev.
  Ronzil Jarvis officiating.  Interment, St. Johns Cemetery.
