   Eva Rebecca Zearfoss-Lape, 90, Somerset, died Oct. 14, 2007, at The Patriot. Born Jan.
  11, 1917, in Somerset, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Jane Meyers Shaffer. Preceded
  in death by parents; first husband, Wilbur Samuel Zearfoss, who died May 1979; second
  husband, Ray McKinley Lape, who died February 2005; brothers, Clark and Hubert Shaffer;
  and sister, Goldie Thomas. Survived by children, Mrs. Richard (Jo Ann) Critchfield,
  Somerset; Robert Zearfoss and wife, Kaye, Blairsville; grandchildren, Rebecca
  Critchfield, James Critchfield, Somerset; great-granddaughter, Sascha Colflesh; and
  special nephew, Wilbur Shaffer, Somerset. A member of Geiger Church of the Brethren.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev.
  Gerald E. Deffenbaugh officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions
