    Mary Ellen Lape, 97, of Somerset RD 1, died April 24, 1993, at
  Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin.  Born Oct. 27, 1895, in Paint Township,
  Somerset County, daughter of the late Levi and Elizabeth (Young) Lape
  Sr.  Also preceded in death by three sisters: Emma Sipe, Eva Walters,
  and Bertha Shumaker, and by five brothers: William, Henry, Levi Jr.,
  Harry and Calvin Lape.  Survived by a sister, Mrs. Freda Sevits of
  Painesville, Ohio; also 19 nieces and nephews, including Forrest
  Shumaker, Velma Clay and Avonelle Dunmeyer, all of Somerset RD 1, and
  Ray Lape of Somerset.  Charter member of the Milford United Methodist
  Church.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
  Tuesday, Rev. Randall W. Bain officiating.  Interment, Richland
  Cemetery.  Family suggests contributions to the Milford United
  Methodist Church, RD 1 Somerset, PA 15501.
